Lihu'e combines the best of both worlds for Hawaii vacationers, with the amenities and services of a transportation and business hub and the secluded getaways of Kauai. The main attraction in the area is the natural scenery. Vast white-sand beaches, hiking trails through wildflower gardens and the impressive 50 ft (15 m) Spouting Horn geyser in nearby Po'ipu Beach provide just some of the sights on the island. A helicopter tour can provide aerial views of the inaccessible north face of the island, where some scenes in the movie Jurassic Park were filmed. Golfers can play along the coast at either of the island's 18-hole golf courses, including the Kauai Lagoons Kiele Course designed by Jack Nicklaus.
